--Another frigid day in the Meadowlands. We are happy to report the weather will get better by the weekend and game day may be the best day of the week with temp near 40 and NO precipitation.

--It has been uneventful as far as the teams are concerned. Both the Broncos and Seahawks are staying in nearby Jersey City. Seattle takes a police escort to the Giants headquarters adjacent to MetLife Stadium, that’s where they practice every day. Denver travels a bit further southwest to Florham Park, headquarters to the Jets. To this point, the teams have only been practicing indoors, though I expect them to spend a little time outside on Friday.

--Not much as far as fans arriving here. That typically happens on Friday and Saturday and given the fact these teams traveled a long ways to get here, it’s not a cheap trip for even the most faithful of fans.

--Super Bowl Boulevard opens today in Times Square. They have a toboggan slide there, fittingly, and other exciting things for fans to do. No need to open that up early in the week as the cold has been unbearable for most.

--Local Super Bowl host committee folks insist there is no chance of a power outage at this year’s Super Bowl. Of course last year in New Orleans, it stopped the game for considerable time in the second half. They assure everyone there is zero chance of an issue here. It’s one of the newest venues in the NFL, can’t imagine there will be a problem.

--Just two weeks ago, this was being billed as a Super Bowl that would set a record as far as ticket prices are concerned on the secondary market. Not the case. This may be one of the cheapest. I am hearing stories of brokers selling tickets for BELOW face value. Very few want to pay $2,000 to sit in the cold and watch a game—even the Super Bowl.
