Childcare advocates declare "War on Women" in Illinois

Advocates for single parents say current childcare eligibility leaves out many

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor Bruce Rauner opened up childcare last fall, but advocates for single parents say the rules still leave out many who have to choose between their job and taking care of their child.

Service Employees International Union of Illinois James Muhammad says the eligibility benefits don’t cover enough of the population forcing people to quit their jobs and take other state assistance.
