Landscaping tips for small yards

Do you have a postage stamp yard you want to transform into an outdoor living area? Don't panic! We have some landscaping tips to help get you started.

1. Have multiple lounging areas

Creating different furniture groupings helps divide up a small space and gives you a more attractive looking yard.

2. Plant upwards

Think about using any kind of vertical plant as a way to create privacy and add depth, without taking up too much real estate in your yard. For an extra nice touch, stack wooden creates for a vertical herb garden that doubles as a privacy fence.

3. Use color

Place bold, brightly-colored plants upfront as a way to draw the eye's attention. Then, use more monochromatic colors further back in your yard as a way to make your yard look larger.
