'Tunnel of Oppression' hoping to raise awareness at Bradley University

Happening November 7th - 9th

The Tunnel of Oppression is an interactive, guided tour that highlights contemporary issues of oppression.

It is designed to introduce people to the concepts of oppression, privilege, and power by guiding them through a series of "tunnels" designed by people in certain marginalized populations.

This year will focus on the experiences of transgender people, refugees and Latin immigrants. Plus it will highlight topics including anti-Jewish threats and rhetoric, African American women and the law, body perceptions, mental illnesses, sexual assault and more.

The goal is to raise awareness of how others experience the world and hear their stories firsthand.  The public is invited but registration is required.
