PEORIA -- If you want to stock up on all things Caterpillar, you'll need to visit a new spot. The merchandise store is moving out of its Adams Street location.
Workers are hurrying to get all of the merchandise in place as the store makes its new home inside the Caterpillar Visitor's Museum.
From folding shirts to stocking the shelves, the last minute preparations are underway at the Merchandise Store.
Manager Sarah Gutchall said the move is a good thing. She hopes it will mean bigger business. "We're hoping that the move from the Adams Street store not only gives us more tour traffic for Caterpillar visitors but also increases our traffic with local Peorians, having the Riverfront Museum next door is probably gonna help a little bit."
Gutchall said although this store is smaller, its bringing a lot of new merchandise that customers haven't seen before.
The store opens on Saturday. Its hours will be Monday through Saturday 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
