Caterpillar Reaches Tentative Agreement With Union at Joliet Facility

PEORIA -  Caterpillar officials released the following statement regarding the strike at their Joliet facility.  "Caterpillar has signed a tentative six-year contract agreement with leaders of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) which covers approximately 780 represented employees at the Joliet plant. The tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by union members, which will be held on Friday, August 17. By agreement of the parties, we will not be commenting on any specific details of the tentative contract."
