Attempted Abduction Suspect Pleads NOT GUILTY

A Bloomington woman, who is accused of trying to abduct a four year old child earlier this month, pleaded NOT GUILTY Friday. 23 year old Amanda Robbins is facing one count of attempted kidnapping. Police accuse Robbins of trying to abduct the youngster on Bloomington's rural southeast side while the child was going to the mailbox. The child's grandmother saw what was happening and yelled. Police say the child was released and Robbins was arrested a short time later. Authorities claim this is a stranger abduction since Robbins was not known by either the victim or the grandmother. Robbins bond was set at a quarter million dollars and she will be back in court July 7th.
