Pekin Man Sentenced for Flare Gun Incident

  A Pekin man, charged last September with shooting his sister numerous times with a flare gun, was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison. 46 year old Eddie Nischwitz pleaded guilty Tuesday to domestic battery while an aggravated battery charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement. Police say Nischwitz's sister, who lives on Columbia Terrace was treated for minor burns.
