A Gilson teenager, charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI in connection with a fatal accident last April, made his first court appearance Friday in Knox County. 19 year old Jose Beltran Junior was charged following a wreck which killed 15 year old Brandon Melton of rural Galesburg, a Knoxville High School honor student. Police say Beltran's car hit a power pole and rolled over several times landing on its side. Meantime, 49 year old Jean Lenz of Knoxville is facing a charge of unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor for allegedly providing beer to Beltran. She will be back in court July 6th.
