ILLINOIS -- Good news for people trying to rebuild after November's tornadoes. FEMA has extended its deadline for applications. People in Champaign, Vermilion and Douglas counties now have until February 3 to apply for help.
This comes after help for local governments was denied. Congressman Rodney Davis (R) says the system is broken. He's introduced a bill he says will help. Currently, the state is appealing FEMA's denial for public assistance.
