GIFFORD -- Bad news for towns looking for more help after tornadoes two months ago. Places like Gifford were hoping to get help paying for all the clean-up, so Governor Quinn applied for a grant from FEMA. But, FEMA turned town that request.

About $700,000 has been spent on clean-up in Champaign County alone. Gifford and others will have to find the money someplace else.

Governor Quinn says he'll appeal FEMA's decision. It would have paid for about 75% of the cost. Without the money, some projects will take longer to finish.
