WASHINGTON, IL - "The key to the mystery of a great artist is that, for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life, just to make sure that one note follows another and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world." Those words from Leonard Bernstein share how the great Composer lived his life and speaks to the legacy he left behind. This Saturday, Bernstein's life and legacy will be celebrated during a concert entitled, "Classic Rumble" by the Heartland Festival Orchestra in honor of his 100th birthday. Joining me now with more about what is sure to be a dynamic performance is Maestro David Commanday.
