A life-long Peoria resident has a 100th birthday surprise on Saturday

PEORIA - A local Peoria resident hit a big milestone in his life Saturday.

Glen Anderson's friends and family had a surprise party for him today at his retirement home to celebrate his 100th birthday.

Anderson was born and raised in Peoria and has been a diehard Cubs fan all of his life. He remembers back to the time he became a Cubs fan.

Anderson says, "Well, the Lord's been good to me. It started with my dad. He probably listened to it on the radio and I acquired it, and I instilled it in my kids."

He also says he's waited 99 years to see the cubs win a world series, But he's glad he got to them finally pull it off.
