Ameren Giving Help to Customers

Offering a One-Time Grant

Paying the electric bill can sometimes be difficult, especially if you're on a tight budget, so a local electric company has decided to provide some assistance.

Ameren Illinois will provide one-time energy assistance grants, up to $150, to people living in Peoria who meet low-income requirements during a customer service event at George Washington Carver Community Center, in Peoria.

Then on Wednesday, Ameren will have an event in Bloomington, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

The grants are on a first-come, first-served basis.

You must bring a photo ID, a current copy of your bill, and proof of your household income if you want a grant.
