Bloomington City Council discusses recruitment for city position

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Bloomington officials are continuing their conversation about hiring a new city manager.

About a month ago, Bloomington leaders voted to hire GOV-HR to lead the recruiting process. At Monday nights special meeting, council members and GOV-HR discussed their next steps. Once the company finalizes the job profile toward the end of March, the council will approve it and it will be posted online. A GOV-HR consultant said her goal is to bring back 8-10 candidates for council to look over and interview. The job posting will be up for about 4 weeks.
