Boil order in place for Town of Normal, ISU

NORMAL - Update 3/10/2017 4:35 P.M.

The Town of Normal says repairs to the main were completed around 4:00 P.M. Friday.

Water samples are being collected and tested, per EPA regulation. The testing will take about 24 hours.

The boil order remains in effect until the samples come back showing the water quality hasn't been compromised. Officials in Normal say they'll work to keep you informed of when the boil order is lifted.

A water main break in Normal has town officials urging you to boil your water before using it.

Crews are working to repair the main and hope to restore service by noon Friday. They anticipate the boil order will be lifted by 5:00 P.M. Saturday. This affects customers in the Town of Normal, including all of Illinois State University.
