Books to Benefit receives big donations

NORMAL - A local non-profit just received two major donations.

Books to Benefit takes lightly used book donations to then sell in their twice-a-year sale.

Babbitt’s Bookstore owner organized a donation of about 7,500 books. Some Bloomington residents also held a book drive in memory of a neighbor who passed away recently. They then donated the 1,000 books they gathered, to Books to Benefit.

"It's nice because this particular donation, we had a lot of help from the partners that we donate money to as well, said Jackie Langhoff, President of Books to Benefit. “And so it really shows full circle, that we've got for-profit businesses, we have non-profits, we have individuals that are all rallying behind the cause."

Books to Benefit is taking donations until October 21st. Their used book sale will be November 2-5.
