Former Staffer for Aaron Schock was FBI Informant

Taped Conversations with Ex-Congressman

A former staffer who worked for ex-congressman Aaron Schock was an informant for the FBI.

According to an article from The Hill, the FBI wired a congressional staffer and turned him into a secret informant during its investigation onto Schock's alleged misuse of government and campaign funds.

The staffer secretly taped conversations with Schock, and also with people working in his office, when he was in Congress. The staffer also took documents from his District office, here in Illinois, and gave them to FBI agents.

Schock was indicted on fraud charges in November and is accused of misusing government and campaign funds.

The documents suggests Schock's attorneys could move to have these charges dismissed. Schock's trial is scheduled to begin this summer.
