BREAKING: Skeletal Remains Consistent with 13-Year-Old Male

According to the Tazewell County Coroner's Office, the skeletal remains found Monday in south of Pekin Tazewell County are consistent with that of a 13-year-old adolescent male.

Tazewell County Coroner Dr. Jeff Baldi, no positive identification can be made until DNA testing can be conducted. But, the forensic pathologist conducting the autopsy believes that based on a presumptive identification of the skeletal remains, dental records and photographs of remains that this is consistent with that of an adolescent male.

The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office along with the Pekin Police Department, Tazewell County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police crime scene investigators are continuing the investigation.
