UPDATE: Bloomington man convicted of sexually assaulting teenage girl

MCLEAN COUNTY - UPDATE: A Bloomington man is convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

Robert Wichmann was found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. This after a teenage girl accused him of sexually assaulting her over a span of 8-months.

A rape kit was never done at the hospital, but according to the Pantagraph, DNA results from a condom found in Wichmann's bathroom, was the primary reason for the judge's verdict. There was much debate over whether Wichmann was just looking over the girl as a temporary caretaker, or if he had indeed assaulted her.

Wichmann will have a sentencing hearing on March 9.
