Celebrating 150 Years of Alice

An exhibit at ISU will showcase Alice in Wonderland history.

NORMAL - Illinois State University is getting ready to celebrate the anniversary of a popular children's book, Alice in Wonderland.

The university's Special Collections Department is setting up an exhibit, showcasing art work, first edition books, and other Alice-themed material. Author Lewis Carroll first published the book 150 years ago. Since then, it's been reinvented through art, theater, and film.

"It's probably one of the most illustrated children's novels that there are because it's so wacky and fun and there's just anything you can do with it." said Riley Bonislawski, an intern with ISU Special Collections.

The exhibit is set to open Friday, Nov. 6, on the sixth floor of Milner Library.
