Galesburg Fire Dept. is warning you about a massive extinguisher recall

The Galesburg Fire Department is warning you about a massive fire extinguisher recall.

Kidde, the world's largest manufacturer of fire safety products, is recalling more than 37 million fire extinguishers for faulty handles.

According to Kidde's website, extinguishers are failing to activate, posing a safety hazard.

The company is recalling over 134 models manufactured between January 1, 1973 and August 15, 2017.

So far, there has been a report of at least one death from a faulty extinguisher and nearly 400 reports of devices failing to activate.
