as Colonel William Robertson had a big impact on the 182nd Airlift Wing

BARTONVILLE - After serving 13 years as Commander of the 182nd Airlift Wing, Colonel William Robertson is passing the torch.

Robertson is one of the longest commanding Colonel's for the local Air National Guard. Saturday he relinquished command to Colonel Daniel McDonough at the Change of Command and General Officer Promotion Ceremony.

Colonel McDonough says, "To represent those unbelievable professionals that we've got out here that are out doing the citizen soldier equivalent during the week, or excuse me on the weekend and they go back to work and do amazing work for the community. What an honor for me to be able to serve in that capacity."

The ceremony was also a promotion ceremony for Robertson as he goes from Colonel to Brigadier General.
