PEORIA, Ill. - Two local Kroger locations will be closing their doors at the end of the month.
The grocery store's Central Division announced Thursday the locations on N. Wisconsin and Harmon Highway. The fuel center on Harmon Highway will also close.
The company will keep its locations on Lake, Lindbergh, Sterling, S. Main (East Peoria), and Garfield (Bartonville).
The company says the closing stores have had "ongoing poor financial performance." It goes on to say the closings are not a reflection on the stores' associates. Kroger's HR department will help employees with the transition, including helping them find positions at other Peoria-area stores.
