Extensive investigation leads to marijuana lab bust

Additional arrests may be coming

ROANOKE, Ill. - Officers discover an elaborate marijuana production lab after searching a home in Roanoke.

According to the Woodford County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, police found an indoor growing operation, cannabis oil extraction equipment, cannabis oil processing equipment and equipment used to make cannabis candies, lotions and other cannabis related edible items.

They also found over 50 pounds of products.

The Sheriff's office says these types of labs are very volatile and cause a serious health and safety risk to surrounding neighbors.

In the past, officers responded to serious explosions from this type of activity that caused serious burns to the victims.

Reuben Rippon and Matthew Scott are charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

Their bond has been set at $500,000.

Officials say an investigation is ongoing and further arrests are likely.
