For the love of baseball... and the solar eclipse

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the eclipse.

Due to the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st, the Peoria Chiefs will have a special noon game.

The first 1,000 fans will receive free solar eclipse glasses in order to watch it during the game.

"It's just something unique," says Rocky Vonachen, president of the Peoria Chiefs. "We're going to stop play just before the eclipse. We'll stop the game, turn the lights off, and people can watch the eclipse. And, as soon as it's passed, we'll start the game up again. So, it'll just be something fun and different."
