Here's the latest Harvest update

"Harvest has been a real blessing this year; real surprise," says Les Schmidgall of Schmidgall Family Farms. "Our yields are quite a bit better than expected."

Harvest 2017 is finally here and farmers are doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

"Some days it's longer, some days it's not," says Dennis Wentworth of Wentworth Family Farms. "So, we'll get started at 7 o'clock in the morning and we'll run until 8 or 9 o'clock at night."

Despite the drier conditions this summer, farmers are looking forward to this year's yield.

"We're going to have a lot more bushels to sell than we had anticipated even a month ago," says Wentworth.

"I am very optimistic about this year's crop yield," says Schmidgall. "Prices have gone down some, but we think they will rebound somewhat. So, we're very optimistic about this year."
