Huntsman doesn't shy away from controversial topics during confirmation hearing

Huntsman serves as a board member for Caterpillar

Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman didn't shy away from controversial topics during his confirmation hearing today.

The nominee for US Ambassador to Russia says there's no question the Russian government interfered with the 2016 presidential election. At one point, separating himself from President Donald Trump, who questioned the findings of US intelligent agencies, saying various actors could have meddled in the election making the relationship with Russia trickier.

Huntsman served as Barack Obama's ambassador to China from 2009 to 2011. He also serves as a board member at Caterpillar.
