Ice cream bars recalled at multiple stores

Multiple stores in central Illinois are recalling different kinds of ice cream bars due to a possibility that they may be contaminated with Listeria.

Fieldbrook Foods Corporation issued the voluntary recall of all orange cream bars and chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars that were produced in 2017 on the company's Hoyer 1 Line at its Dunkirk, NY plant.

Listeria is an organism that can cause serious, and sometimes deadly, infections in young children, the elderly, and others with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The following stores include:

  • ALDI
  • Dollar Tree
  • Kroger
  • Meijer
  • Save-a-Lot
