Local businesses feel the effects of Cyber Monday

PEORIA - Here at home, local businesses are seeing the revenue of the yesterdays unofficial holiday; Cyber Monday. 

employees from Apricot Lane, a local boutique say Cyber Monday is the stores busiest day of the year. 

Consumers take full advantage of deals anytime they are available and convenient. 

"We've been planning on it since I would say fall and we have to make sure we have enough supplies, that we have our graphics ready, that we have enough staff and products and obviously that we are reaching our customers so that they know what we are offering as our sales, so it is a lot of planning," said Jena Green and employee at Apricot Lane. 

On average consumers spent 270 dollars each on their online shopping.
