Local store closing its doors

BLOOMINGTON - A 63-year-old store is closing its red door in October.

Hobbyland president said after owning the store for 12-years, it's time to retire. He's tried to sell the business, but no one wants to keep it running.

"The hobby industry as a whole has really been affected by many different things,” said Jerry Martin, President of Hobbyland. “Mainly the internet. I mean, you can by anything on Amazon now so it makes it really tough to run a brick and mortar store."

Martin is having a 25% off sale, store wide to get some merchandise off the shelves. Hobbyland will close October 28.
