Man accused of stealing government funds getting new judge

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A new judge is to be named in the case against Bart Rogers.

Rogers' defense lawyer asked that Judge Robert Freitag be removed from the case. Rogers was the former General Manager of Central Illinois Arena Management.

He is being accused of theft of government funds from the, then, U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Freitag originally replaced Judge Scott Drazewski in the case, under a similar request from the state. Chief Judge Kevin Fitzgerald will decide which judge will hear Rogers' case.

Rogers' status hearing is scheduled for December 1.
