Morton High School announces new principal

MORTON - Morton High School will be under new leadership come Fall 2017.

Michael Gourley will replace Marjorie Johnson, who will take over a superintendent at East Peoria Community High School. 

Gourley is currently the associate principal for curriculum and instruction at Urbana High School. He also served at Normal Community High School as assistant principal for 9 years. He began his career at NCHS in 1995 as a social studies teacher. 

"I am looking forward to years of service with a very dedicated staff and providing quality education to the students and families of Morton High School and to the district," says Gourley.

Mr. Gourley's first day on the job will be July 1.
