Moving company delivers supplies to animal shelter

HANNA CITY, IL - Dozens of pets in Hanna City have new toys and beds thanks to a moving company.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK dropped off boxes of supplies to Sams Rescue. It's part of the Movers for Mutts campaign, which delivers donated supplies to local animals shelters nationwide.

According to the executive director the rescue receives pets that other shelters aren't able to adopt out.

Connie Davis says the ability to save an animal's life is close to her heart and she's thrilled TWO MEN AND A TRUCK decided to help keep their dogs and cats comfortable.

"We like to think every animal needs to be comfortable," says Connie Davis. "They need snuggly places to sleep and things to play with as much as they need food and veterinary care."

Alexis Herberg from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK had no problem delivering the supplies to Sams Rescue.

"There's animals that need help everywhere," says Herberg. "You know what Sams does is truly amazing and what TWO MEN AND A TRUCK does is amazing as well."

The animal shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday and is always in need of volunteers.
