New restaurant in plans for Eastland Mall

The Planning Commission will consider the plans on Wednesday.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A new restaurant will be the next step in redeveloping Bloomington's Eastland Mall.

The city's Planning Commission will review plans for the restaurant at its meeting on Wednesday.

The name has not been released, but it will be built in the corner of the parking lot, near the Empire and Veteran's Parkway intersection.

The mall recently lost anchor stores Macy's and J.C. Penny. The restaurant plans are expected to go to city council in December.
