Officer hit by supposed bullet while responding to early morning shooting

PEORIA - Police responded to a shooting on the 1100 block of North Ellis just before 1:30 A.M. Wednesday. 

Three victims went to a local hospital with injuries from the shooting, but are expected to be okay.

While responding to the call, one officer felt something hit his calf. The object didn't penetrate his skin, but did leave a red mark. He didn't need medical treatment. Later, officers found a used bullet in the area where the officer was hit.
