PAAR raffling off tiny house

Includes kitchen, living area, and more

How would you like to own a tiny house?

The Peoria Area Association of Realtors is raffling off a tiny home to raise money for its Turkey Drive.

The 240 sq ft home includes a living area, kitchen, loft bedroom, and a fireplace.

The home itself is valued at $50,000.

"Last year we raised $25,000 for our Turkey Drive," says Sheryl Grider Whitehurst of the PAAR Cares Foundation. "We're hoping to exceed that this year. We're given over 37,000 food vouchers over the course of the time that we've raised money for the Turkey Drive."

You can purchase raffle tickets for $20 each by going to www.309mls.com.

PAAR will draw a winner after 2,500 tickets have been sold.

The tiny home will be at several community events in the next few weeks, offering tours to anyone who wants to look through the house.

The first stop will be at Dunlap Days, on August 24th-26th. The next stop will be the Pekin Marigold Festival on September 8th-10th. Then it will be at Food Frenzy at Heritage Square in Peoria Heights on September 16th.

You can also buy raffle tickets at all of the events as well.
