Part of Peoria's Past Now Available in T-Shirt Form

Bygone Brand Honors River City History

PEORIA - Now, you can wear a little piece of Peoria’s past wherever you go.

Bygone Brand is expanding into Peoria.

The company was started by two Bradley alums.

Bygone is making throw-back tee-shirts with logos from the "good old days" of the Thompson Food Basket, Hunt's Drive-In, and Szold's Department Store.

Peoria's one of the newest markets for the company.

They're also in Chicago, St. Louis, Madison and Rockford.

“We’ve had nothing but really positive response from people that will see something and stop you on the street and say, “oh my gosh, I used to love going to that place.” Or whatever. So, it's kind of a good nostalgia feeling for people,” explains Keith Watson, who owns the company with his wife, Amy.

You can get the tees online or at Urban Artifacts in Peoria.

The Thompson Food Basket tee is the company's newest design.
