Peoria Gas Station Owner Sentenced to 21 Months in Prison For Fraud and Tax Evasion

He will also pay back $1.5 million for underreporting sales

Peoria - A man who owned four gas stations in the Peoria area will serve 21 months in federal prison for fraud and tax evasion.

Adnan Rashid will also pay $1.5 million for underreporting sales on federal corporate and state sales tax returns.

Rashid owned 2 Marathon gas stations in the area, and 50% of two other Peoria Marathon gas stations.

He will begin serving his sentence on May 30th.
