Police respond to fiery crash near South Lafayette Avenue

BARTONVILLE, Ill. - Bartonville Police responded to car crash last night around 10:00 p.m. with a 25 year old driver trapped inside.

Two officers found the car fully engulfed in flames in the 1400 Block of South Lafayette Avenue.

The driver was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center and was later taken to Springfield Memorial Burn Unit.

The man is listed in stable condition.

One officer has been released from the hospital after receiving minor injuries.
