PEORIA - The Illinois State Police (ISP) will be conducting Roadside Safety Checks in Peoria and Tazewell County during the month of November, according to District 8 Commander, Steve Riesenberg.
Officers working this detail will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, or driving under the influence.
These safety checks are designed to keep our roads safe by taking DUI offenders, and other risky drivers off the road. The ISP has zero tolerance for impaired driving in Illinois.
Also during the month of November Nighttime Enforcement Patrols will be conducted.
