EAST PEORIA - Hundreds of families with special needs came to Splashdown in East Peoria Saturday.
Shanwna Burnice says, "a lot of individuals I've worked with personally love to swim and love the pool, and this way it's their night, it's for them to have fun and they love it, and they can enjoy it with their families and their friends."
Every summer the Illinois River Valley Special Recreation Association holds a family fun night at Splashdown Water Park for special needs kids and their families.
