Tamron Hall to speak at Peoria MLK celebration

PEORIA - American broadcast journalist, Tamron Hall will be this year’s featured speaker at the 2018 Peoria Martin Luther King Jr Celebration.

The 26th annual MLK Celebration Luncheon will be held January 15th at the Peoria Civic Center.

Tamron is an award-winning journalist. Hall was formerly the American national news anchor for NBC news, and a co-host of Todays Take. currently she hosts "deadline: Crime" on investigation Discovery channel.  She is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalist, and has also been honored with the Tample University prestigious Lew Klein Alumni Media award in 2010.

“We look forward to having Tamron Hall at our 26th annual luncheon,” said Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis. “We’re excited to welcome her to Peoria to help us celebrate the life and legacy of Dr Martin Luther King, JR.”

Tickets for the luncheon are $50 per person or 10 for $500 and are availed for purchase at the Peoria City Hall or online.
