'Tis the season for Toy Shop

Neighborhood House is getting ready for its 82nd Annual Toy Shop.

Every year, the Neighborhood House teams up with local businesses to collect a variety of toys.

This year, on Wednesday, December 13th, eligible families will have the opportunity to receive toys for the holidays for only $10.

"Christmas is hard for everybody," says Bryna Dixon, community outreach director at Neighborhood House. "So, when you're recently laid off from your job or you may have a low and limited income, this program is very beneficial because you get to come in and you get to shop for Christmas for your kids."

Pre-registration for the event will be going on through Friday, December 8th.

Those families who would like to register must bring the following:

  • Photo ID
  • Birth certificates of all children or proof of guardianship (i.e. insurance or medical card)
  • Proof of employment, paystub, school enrollment or unemployment statement

Also, volunteers are still needed to hand out toys during Toy Shop. You can visit Neighborhood House's website to sign-up.
