UPDATE: Man arrested for DUI in deadly crash

A woman died in an early Sunday morning crash

PEORIA, Ill. - Peoria police are investigating a third deadly car crash in a week.

Around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to a car and SUV crash on Knoxvillle. Forty-one-year-old Ktosha Moore of Peoria was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Peoria County Coroner, she was trying to make a right hand turn from Corrington Avenue to Knoxville, when an SUV hit the driver's side of her car.

The other driver was trapped inside his car. Firefighters used the jaws-of-life and hydraulic spreaders to get him out, while paramedics treated his injures. He was brought to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

The woman and the man were the only people in the cars. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
