YWCA accepts additional coverage for veterans

BLOOMINGTON - Just in time for Veterans Day, YWCA has announced it is accepting additional coverage for veterans.

YWCA Home Care is now an approved provider with Veterans Care Coordination. The VCC helps wartime veterans and they spouses or surviving spouses qualify and pay for home care services.

For more than four decades, YWCA Home Care has been helping those 18 and older live independently in their McLean County homes.

Earlier this year, YWCA McLean County ended its contract with the state due to a lack of funding during the budget impasse.

Qualified veterans and their spouse or surviving spouse may get help with up to more than $25,000 in services per year. Those services include tasks that help with tasks of daily living such as meal preparations, grocery shopping, housekeeping, personal care, and more.
