WASHINGTON – One Washington native is helping the town heal from last year’s tornadoes through art.

Kristen Brown built Emotion in Motion. It’s a travelling wall made out of debris from the storm on one side and a chalkboard on the other.

Brown is going to take the wall to a new location every day for a month, and it will have a question on it for people to answer.

“I wanted to create a space for people to be able to share their story and for other people to be able to see their story, just so Washington can be aware of how we’re doing,” Brown said.

Brown’s home was destroyed from the storm, so most of her wall is made out of the flooring from her house.

But she also walked through the neighborhoods and gathered debris from the streets.

Brown is having a send-off for the wall tonight at 7:30 p.m. on Windsor Way in Washington.
