PEORIA - Last year Peoria received the high honor of becoming an All America City. And now an exhibit at the Riverfront Museum is showcasing a piece of the puzzle that helped the River City win. Part of the competition required each city to design a quilt square representing something special about their community. The 2013 All America City Quilt just arrived in Peoria. The quilt will take an 11 months trek around the country, touring 13 states. It will spend one week in each finalist city.
Chairman of the All America City Campaign Tim Cundiff says, “"You look at the 20 quilt squares that comprise the quilt these are 20 All America cities, weaving together stitching together, cohesively working together to become the fabric of our nation”
The quilt will be on display at the Riverfront Museum through next Friday, February 27th.
