People dove in for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Peoria Riverplex.
Instead of the traditional egg hunt outdoors, plastic eggs are floated and sunk in the Riverplex pool.
The park district says this egg hunt is an alternative, especially if the weather outside is bad.
"We’ve done this for about 9 or 10 years now. It's a fun event. The kids love it. There are smiles on their faces. For kids that have never been in the water, we have a zero depth area and they can ease in that way" says supervisor of aquatics sue wheeler
There were two egg hunts today at the Riverplex.
All children walked away with a goodie bag.
