State politicians joined members of the Snyder Village community today to break ground on a $7 million expansion.
Seniors will now have the option of choosing a one or two bedroom apartment.
Twenty new apartments will be added, along with a memory care program to help residents who are showing signs of Alzheimer's or dementia.
“The memory care will provide for folks who have dementia or other forms of Alzheimer's disease. The regular assisted living will provide larger square footage for individuals who would like more space than they're living in,” said Keith Swartzentruber, Executive Director at Snyder Village.
Snyder Village has been serving Metamora for 20 years.
